Hiram
Pérez, founder and president of Lumenlux & Associates, Inc.,
specializes in the sale, supervision and coordination of projects "turn-key"
for lighting systems for theatres, television studios, and stage shows.
With more than 31 years of professional experience in the lighting industry,
Mr. Pérez has distinguished himself as a designer, technical
director, production direction and equipment sales. He has dedicated
more than twenty years of his illustrious career to education in a university
environment.
Mr. Pérez possesses
vast experience in the field of professional lighting acquired during
more than 26 years as part of the professional staff of the School of
Music and Theater Arts at Washington State University; two years as
the Director of International Sales for Colortran, Inc., and four years
as Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean for the Barbizon Lighting
Companies.
For over 21 years,
Mr. Pérez has been an active member of the United States Institute
of Theater Technology, (USITT) and OISTAT (the international equivalent
to USITT). He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute
and served as the Director of the Membership Committee.
He is a pioneer in
the celebration of conferences and congresses with the purpose of highlighting
the production professionals from Latin America to the entire world.
Mr. Pérez has also participated in presentations in LDI on television
studio design and illumination in Latin America and was the director
of the committee of the first ExpoLatina in May of 1999 and 2000 in
Miami Beach, Florida, presented by Lighting Dimension International.
Hiram Pérez
is recognized worldwide, and specifically in Latin America and the Caribbean,
for his dedication and commitment to the professional lighting community
of the region, providing them with information and assistance in the
field of illumination; Mr. Pérez provides personal assistance
to Latin America and the Caribbean. His goal is to provide the lighting
professionals in television, theatre, and the performing arts with the
latest information and products in technology and lighting design.
He graduated with a
degree in Speech Communication from Washington State University in 1971.
He studied and specialized in the application of theatrical technology
for live entertainment, television and the performing arts. He also
studied Alternative Solutions in the Administration of Business at the
Business Administration Department of Washington State University.
